Laila MANDI is full professor of Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences Semlalia, of the University Cadi Ayyad, Marrakech, Morocco. She got her PhD in 1994 from the same University. Since 2001, she is nominated as a National Co-ordinator of the pole of competences on “ water and Environment”. In 2007, She was nominated as a Director of the National Centre of Studies and Research on Water and Energy at the University Cadi Ayyad Experience: In 1994-1998, was involved within European program SEM project 03/204/017, Morocco-CEE carrying out study and monitoring on experimental extensive systems for wastewater treatment proposed by the municipality of Marrakech and Regional Direction of Hydraulic. In 1998-00, she was worked as a consultant in feasibility studies of integrated projects on wastewater treatment and reuse (US Agency International of Development). Since 2001, she was nominated as a member of the High Council of water and climate. Since 2002, she works as an international expert for R&D proposals in the field of water treatment. Has published many scientific papers, spoken also at national and international conferences and workshop as lecturer, on the following research field: urban and industrial wastewater treatment, wastewater reuse, environmental impact assessment.
